The Dickens Festival

Every June in Rochester, Kent The Dickens Festival takes place. This is a celebration of the author, Charles Dickens, who resided in and around Kent for much of his life. The festival includes street performers, museum exhibits and at nearby Rochester Castle, a funfair and performance arenas. Many of those who attend do so in fancy dress, and this year that included the participants of the Grove History project.
