Clink prison museum and The London dungeons

There was lots to see at The London Dungeons.
It was smelly, noisy and dark, with an eerie atmosphere.
One of our group volunteered to help an actress who was playing a surgeon treating a plague victim there was also a boat ride and, the tale of Jack the ripper, later it was really hot, like it would have been during the great fire of london. It was scary and fun.

Did you know...
Bubonic plague or Black death was carried by black rats and fleas symptoms included the skin turning black in patches and inflamed glands or "buboes" in the groin, along with vomiting, swollen tongue and splitting headaches the great fire of london began when a baker in Pudding lane left his oven on overnight only 6 people were definitely known to have died from the fire, though, it was probably more.

It is recognised as having been a major contribution to the ending of the plague due to the number of rats and fleas killed.
