Christmas Tree farm. - An insight into life in rural kent.30th and 31st August 2007After some discussions within the history project group about Kent rural life, it was agreed that a trip to a farm would provide some insight and experience of working with the land and animals as it would have been in the past. Christmas tree farm allows visitors to have contact with live animals including horses, goats, sheep, cows, pigs and various smaller animals. Visitors get to feed and stroke the animals in a safe environment. For many participants it is the first time that they have seen these animals in the flesh. Everyone enjoyed the experience and engaged in a lively discussion about it (including the possibility of working with animals) over a traditional English cream tea. |
